Whilst equipment is largely a means to an end, you’re less likely to produce your best with inferior kit. With this in mind my photographic equipment of choice includes three Canon professional camera bodies, seven Canon ‘L-series’ lenses and the Canon Speedlite 580II and MT-24 EX Macro Twin Lite flashguns. Bowens Esprit Digital 500DX studio lights are sometimes used to improve lighting, primarily for indoor shoots.
I find the Induro 314 carbon tripod an excellent balance of strength and weight. The Manfrotto 410 geared tripod head offers terrific precision of movement.
Fortunately I acquired a Kaidan QuickPan QPU-2 panoramic head before the company disappeared – a superb piece of engineering, robust and straightforward in operation, albeit at the cost of being a bit heavy when on location.
I use the following software most days:
Adobe PhotoShop Extended CS5
Adobe Lightroom 3.0
Adobe Dreamweaver CS5
Adobe Fireworks CS5
Microsoft Office 2010
Microsoft Windows 7
My studio also has the following software, which comes in useful fairly often:
Garden Gnome Software Pano2VR
Garden Gnome Software Object2VR
Adobe InDesign CS5
Adobe Flash Professional CS5
Adobe Illustrator CS5
Adobe Premiere Pro 2
Adobe After Effects 7.0
VR Toolbox VR Worx 2.0
